Dr. Michael Ging
Welcome to the Central Florida Organ Institute, where you can hone the skills and gain the experience necessary to fuel your pipe organ passion. Lesson locations are available throughout the greater Orlando area.

About the Institute
The Central Florida Organ Institute offers private organ lessons, organ history/repertoire courses, and consulting services. Our programs are customized to accomplish the goals of the individual student, from beginning organ students to seasoned professional artists.
Lessons are taught in the Gant Layton Organ Studio in Wekiva Springs. The studio houses a beautiful mechanical action pipe organ built by J. Allen Farmer Organbuilders in 1998. This instrument is ideal for organ study and practice. Additional instruments and lesson locations are available.

Private Lessons
The core offering of the Institute is our private lesson package. Acknowledging that each musician's journey is unique, we design lesson plans to accomplish the short- and long-term goals of each student. Lessons take place at the Institute's Gant Layton Organ Studio and at various locations throughout the Central Florida region.

Organ History/Repertoire Courses
Our Organ History/Repertoire courses can be pursued alongside or independent of private lessons. One need not be an organist to benefit from studying the rich legacy of the instrument's history and literature. Course offerings include a broad organ history survey and focused studies on specific musical eras and composers. Course materials are assimilated from period primary sources, scholarly publications, student research, and recordings.

Instruments
The Central Florida Organ Institute uses the following instruments for private instruction. Additional lesson locations are available throughout Central Florida.
